This enchanting antique Chinese owl pendant is a beautiful example of Chinese Export jewellery from the turn of the 20th century. The plump Jadeite Jade drop forms the owl’s body, crowned by finely detailed wings and ears picked out in colourful Cloisonné Enamel.
Shades of turquoise, yellow and orange make the little owl wonderfully characterful, with bright, alert eyes and delicate floral details across the shoulders. Set in gilded Silver and stamped “SILVER” on the bale, it’s a charming amulet of wisdom that’s perfect to wear alone or layered with your favourite chains.

Item Details
ERA: c.1890–1930 (Chinese Export).
MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 30mm long x 15mm wide.
Jadeite drop is 16mm long x 9mm wide.
WEIGHT: 5g.
MATERIALS: Tests as Gilded Silver, Cloisonné Enamel, Jadeite Jade.
STAMPS: Stamped “SILVER” on bale.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition
VERY GOOD: The Jadeite drop is smooth, glossy and free from chips or cracks. The Cloisonné Enamel is bright and mostly intact with only light age-related surface wear under close inspection. The gilded Silver shows gentle, even patina from age but remains strong and secure, with the bale in good working order.

Layaway Installment Plans
A layaway is an interest-free payment plan that enables you to reserve an item with an initial deposit, and then pay the balance over 60 days.
Layaway is very popular with Lillicoco customers, particularly when making a more considered purchase.
How It Works
In total, you will make three payments over three months:
Day 1: 33.33%
Day 30: 33.33%
Day 60: 33.33%
Your layaway purchase is reserved for you as soon as the initial payment has been taken.
Your order is shipped once the full balance has been paid.
All of our usual terms and conditions apply with a layaway purchase, although 15% of the invoice total is nonrefundable in case of cancellation or return, acting as an administration fee.
A layaway is not a loan, nor is it a form of credit. A credit check is not required to put an item on layaway, and missing a payment will not affect your credit score.
If you do not complete your layaway on schedule your reservation may be cancelled and your payments may be refunded, minus the administration fee.
