A handsome Victorian 18ct Gold signet-style ring, defined by a raised rectangular tablet crisply engraved with an eight-point starburst and set to the centre with a petite Diamond. Foliate and scroll engraving frames the tablet and flows onto the shoulders, giving beautiful depth and texture to the rich, buttery Gold.

Hallmarked in Birmingham for 1854 with maker’s mark HG&S, this antique treasure marries robust presence with refined detailing. The star-set Diamond adds a discreet glint, while the broad tapering band delivers that timeless, substantial feel characteristic of the era.

Diamond measures approx. 1.5mm in diameter.

HALLMARKS: Maker's Mark HG&S, Crown, 18, Birmingham Anchor, Date letter F for 1854.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Diamond is secure in its star setting with light age-related wear and no obvious chips. The 18ct Gold band shows surface wear consistent with age and a visible resize line; engraving and tablet details remain well-defined. A well-cared-for antique ring, ready to wear and enjoy.
