“In Memory Of” winds across the dark Enamel face of this Victorian locket, its Gold banner resting over an inverted torch. The warm metal and Black Enamel create a striking contrast, softened by the scalloped outline and finely engraved border. It is a small jewel with a quietly moving message.

Turn the locket over and a second decorative face appears, with sweeping foliate engraving around a central cartouche. Worn on your favourite fine chain, either face offers something different to admire, from the memorial inscription to the intricate Goldwork.

MEASUREMENTS: Locket measures 32mm long including the bail, by 20mm wide.
WEIGHT: 5.2g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, with a Steel pin and frames for strength, decorated with Black Enamel.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The memorial lettering and decorative engraving remain clear. Surface wear is visible on the Gold and Enamel, with darkening around the bail. The interior has scratches, discolouration and wear to the lining.
